Our history

TUMI was founded in 1998 in Peru, specializing in raise-boring drilling. It has evolved from a mining contractor to manufacturing its own machines since 2010, with decades of experience in the industry.

Guided by values such as commitment, responsibility, innovation, and adaptability, we have built strong relationships and developed impactful technology. In recent years, we have accelerated our expansion with operations in Europe, Africa, and the Americas, and in 2024 we will open our headquarters in Houston, consolidating our presence in North America.

Our legacy is based on pioneering technology, trust, and excellence. TUMI continues to grow with the same passion and principles that gave us our foundation.
